Bar 43 of 52 - Collidge Corner Clubhouse - Anchor Steam Beer
With Bar 43 I took a nice fall walk through Brookline and look at fancy houses and then stopped in the Collidge Corner Clubhouse. Maybe not the best stop on a fall Sunday afternoon. The place was packed with football fans. It is a sports bar after all. The menu is all named after sports people and they have photos of mostly Boston sports moments but they do have a photo of the Montreal Canadiens lifting the cup for some reason. Am sure that makes Bruins fans happy. The thing I like about the photos is none of them are newer than 1986. The Beer selection is pretty good but most of what they had on tap I had already used in my 52 bars at the last second I realized they had Anchor Steam Beer. I haven't had this in years and now I know why it isn't all that impressive not bad but just an ok brew.
