Fresh chives still growing
As shot.
Rather than let the wild hares and any other wild creature eat the fresh blooms and stalks, we surrounded them with a small fence. They truly look this bright on a partially cloudy day today.
I have been reading:
Leaning Toward Light: Poems for Gardens & the Hands That Tend Them
edited by Tess Taylor, and with a foreword by
Aimee Nezhukumatathil.
And illustrator Mellissa Castrillon brings to life the feeling of each season, and the joys that gardening and nature can bring.
I need joy these days. I suspect you might, too.
