Fun experimenting
Had to find all of our lighting gear boxed up for the move from Alaska last year. This assignment: Top/bottom/right/left light at 90° angle to subject—a small perfume bottle. After many tries, I opted for top-down.
Photo of setup below on sixth comment or here
Wireless remote trigger:
(Plus X Pocket Wizard on camera)
(Plus X wireless remote trigger to Flashpoint)
SB 800 flashpoint off-camera on separate stand pointing straight down at 90-degree angle over perfume bottle
Strobe dialed down to 1/32 to eliminate hot spots
Honyl snoot
Delayed shutter timer
Size from left gap to right bottle:
1.75 in
4.45 cm
Slight crop, otherwise as shot from RAW
12mm extension tube
Fun!
(If I could do it over again, sure would block out the window light reflecting a bit of the fields.)
