Presumably what Sibley would call a "reddish" individual -- this one was very strongly marked, with a high contrast back and stark yellow lores. No one else who photographs in my local patch seems to give a damn about these guys. I don't understand that at all. They may not be as colourful as warblers, but in Canada they aren't exactly omnipresent and their habits are quite entertaining.
