Stirring the pot (poem below)

The Trump Supreme Court in the USA suddenly cast off any pretense of being judicial by overturning Roe vs. Wade and a New York gun control law. We are seeing partisan, Republican policies advanced under the guise of fatuous legalisms.
We suddenly have protection for the unborn while school children are murdered by assault weapons that are wrongly permitted. The USA has taken a horrible turn to the right thanks to Trump loading the court with ideologues.
Stirring the pot
I have been known
Now and then
To stir a pot
Or two
Or three
To ask embarrassing questions
And aim poems at injustice
Avarice
And greed
I have
Now and then
Lobbed irony at hypocrisy
And fact-checked imposters
Clowns
And demagogues
I have stirred the pot
Added pepper flakes
And cooked up a hot sauce
Or two
Or three
From time to time
Laughing at the Emperor’s new clothes
Mocking the Pretender’s throng
And singing that old song
We shall overcome!
