Messier 27

I used M27 as a test target while I experimented with guiding my ACF Meade 8" at 2000mm f/10 with a 50mm guide scope. The resulting image consists of 900 second subs at ISO 400. I am very impressed with the way the Orion 50mm/SSAG combo handled the longer focal length. I'm not sure if this would be the case with a tripod, but I think that my 80mm guide scope will continue to collect dust as long as I am pier mounted.
