Invisible Cracks
Heavy rain and peak Autumn colours make for a nice combination in the glens of the Isle of Man. I recently smashed my circular polariser filter, which at the time I considered to be a mini disaster considering the importance of this filter to my autumn photography. The damage is probably so severe that I couldn’t pay someone to take this filter off me, let alone sell it. Astonishingly however, this image was captured with that very same smashed filter and there is absolutely zero impact on the image. It goes to show that the micro perfections we desire in our photography gear is generally a big load of BS. My advice is don’t let perceptions of inferior gear ever hold you back!
