Montevideo

 

We left the apartment in Buenos Aires just after 6am to catch the early flight to Montevideo and have as much of the day as possible there. It was a Sunday though, and upon arrival - and with our stomachs growling, eager for the first meal of the day - we were advised at the airport that nearly everything in the city would be closed and that we would struggle to find a lot to do, much less eat. There were some signs of life, however, mostly thanks to a market going on in the city centre, and a short wander uncovered this charming little cafe where we were able to grab a light breakfast.
