Cambosol CN

A Bori-Udic Cambosol and landscape. These soils mainly distribute in China's northeast areas, including Greater Khingan Mountains, Lesser Khingan Mountains, Wanda Mountains, and Changbai mountains. Besides, they are also found with a certain amount in narrow valleys in southern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Topographically, those areas are mainly middle and low mountains and hills. Parent materials are diversified, including weathered materials derived from granite, gneiss, sandstone, shale and limestone, as well as loess. The vegetation is mixed coniferous and deciduous forests. They have frigid temperature regime and udic soil moisture regime. In Chinese Soil Taxonomy, Cambosols have low-grade soil development with formation of horizon of alteration or weak expression of other diagnostic horizons. In Soil Taxonomy these soils are commonly Inceptisols, Mollisols, or Gelisols.
