Little Woodham

Nestled within the woods in the Alver Valley, Gosport, lies the 17th century village of Little Woodham. The village is set in the year 1642 and is populated (on special open days) with villagers going about their daily lives.

This is the button maker's hovel. Our Flickr friend, Barry had been here before and kindly drove us here from the Gosport ferry on Easter Monday - here he is, chatting to the house owner, who told us lots of stories, including how a friendly fox visits her every day after the visitors have left and keeps her house clear of rats!
