Ship to Wreck: a series by Jaime Poutine

This is the second installment in color alcohol ink paintings after the black & white series done in August for Kultivate. Each of the pieces (between both series, 24 in total) are tied together in a narrative thread that explores a mental landscape that has unfolded in the course of the last several months. These abstract works demonstrate how the heart expands beyond its own limits and painfully chisels away its own course, finally ending in renewal. I have no idea what I'm actually writing here.
