ABOUT THIS IMAGE

Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Chapel

I captured this image on August 1, 2007 on a 3 week Alaskan photographic vacation of the Kenai Peninsula. This trip also included a train ride to Denali and a visit to inside the park. We also saw most of the Peninsula. There are far too many stories to tell for now. To say the least it was a Photographic Vacation of a Lifetime. On one day we drove from Nikiski to Homer along the Sterling Highway and found this Russian Orthodox Church in Ninilchik. The church was built in 1901. For more information on the town of Ninilchik Refer to:

On Feb. 28, 2013 I took a relook at the image and after 5 ½ years with new techniques and knowledge I Repost Processed this image. I’m now beginning to have the tools and knowledge to bring to fruition the vision I have for my images. Meanwhile I keep experimenting and learning. There is always so much more to know.
