Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Chapel
I captured this image on August 1, 2007 on a 3 week Alaskan photographic vacation of the Kenai Peninsula. This trip also included a train ride to Denali and a visit to inside the park. We also saw most of the Peninsula. There are far too many stories to tell for now. To say the least it was a Photographic Vacation of a Lifetime. On one day we drove from Nikiski to Homer along the Sterling Highway and found this Russian Orthodox Church in Ninilchik. The church was built in 1901. On Feb. 28, 2013 I took a relook at the image and after 5 ½ years with new techniques and knowledge I Repost Processed this image. I’m now beginning to have the tools and knowledge to bring to fruition the vision I have for my images. Meanwhile I keep experimenting and learning. There is always so much more to know.
