Making soup. In my great big soup maker that I bought when I was first on a restricted diet having been diagnosed with radiation induced strictures, just before going to Christchurch for eight weeks of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Not allowed to eat many vegetables and none unless they were very well cooked, the dietician suggested I make soup. Not knowing what kind of cookng facilities, if any, I would have at my accommodation in Christchurch, I bought this soupmaker in the sales at Harvey Norman.
I have not eaten soup since March 2020. For weeks, while waiting for surgery, I was only able/allowed to eat smooth soup, yoghurt with no bits, and ice cream. I've just not been able to face the thought of soup.
I made mushroom soup. It was lovely.
