At the Kapiti Food Fair with a manuka smoked bacon and egg buttie ($6 and delicious),
I had a fabulous day here. I started with this buttie. Then Margaret, Chrissie and Sharon from the Momentum Meetup group arrived. We watched Annabelle White's cookery demonstration and then wandered around the stalls.
I bought: limoncello, orangecello, lemon cream liqueur;
tamarillo vinegar and kiwifruit vinegar;
three cheesecakes;
feta & spinach dip, pita breads and falafel from a nice man from Egypt and his assistant from Peterborough;
Pete's Natural juice drinks; (a real bargain - 4 for $15 or 8 for $20);
almond butter - I'd never tried it before and it was lovely, not as sticky as peanut butter, I got a chocolate flavour one too;
a couple of bars very nice chocolate, one with sea salt and one with mandarin;
drank a Whitakers hot chocolate;
and, before heading home, some mini pancakes with strawberry coulis topping.
I also tried some of the cinnamon chimney cake that Jae bought;
tasted some lovely quince jam made by the lady who was selling it and her mother from fruit on their own property.
