Marker Bouys
We had seen 'Modern Marvels' bit about the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and thought it would be a very nice side trip for our adventure. 23 miles of bridge (which takes you 75 ft above the water) and tunnel (2 tunnels running 1 mile under the Shoals). Quite the engineering feat completed in th 60's with additional bridge's added in the 90's.
We were impressed and the cold winds were blowing across the bay.
