Jacob...K

There was an old trailer on our circle that sat abandoned for a couple years. One day I wooden sign appeared in the yard hung from a tree. I forget the exact wording but it stated that he was willing to do work for money or barter and it qouted a bible verse.
The man that had moved in was a mysterious tall muscular man that went only by the named "D". When asked what his full name was he simply smiled and said "D". He had a grey beard and long hair, was a remarkeably intelligent man who loved to talk at length at politics and the world at large.....He hate a particular passion for badmouthing George Bush......
He explained his life style in that he felt his only boss should be the Lord. He didn't want to take orders from anyone else and so that is what he did. The trailer belonged to a friend who allowed him to stay there. Out of gratitude D chose not use power while he stayed there. He used a coleman lantern for light and kept groceries in cooler. He survived off the meager 5 dollars and hour he charged for his services as well as donations of food for the neighborhood. We would feed him when he worked in our yard and invited him to eat easter dinner with us.
Dispite his liberal views and lifestyle D was extremely literal in his interpetation of the Bible. He explained to us that "before the flood" that Lions were vegetarians.......Sometimes his religous diatribes would be a bit much for us to handle, and the shroud of mystery he chose to cover himself in was always a little haunting....
One day D moved out of our neighborhood to go live on an Alpaca farm.....and I haven't seen him sense....The old trailer was dragged away and replace with a new shiney double-wide........
