Between the Mercurys, Blades, and Goaldiggers, the city of Toledo has won more IHL Turner Cups than any other city. We won 9 total in the 1947-48, 1950-51, 1951-52,(Mercurys) 1963-64, 1966-67,(Blades) 1974-75, 1977-78, 1981-82, 1982-83(Goaldiggers) seasons. After the 1985-1986 season, the Goaldiggers moved and became the Kansas City Blades. The Turner Cup was retired after the 2000-01 season after the IHL folded but has been resurrected this year(2007).
