Image Id: _JPA0265-BWWM

The Skagit Valley in Washington state is well known for it’s annual tulip festival but also less known are the many heritage barns in the area. There are over 55 registered heritage barns in the area some are over 100 years old and most are still in use today.

The Skagit County Historical Museum has created a heritage barn tour including 55 historic registered barns. These self-guided tours include the build date, roof style, agricultural use and in many cases, the family history of many Skagit County pioneers. To find a tour map visit www.visitskagitvalley.com/historic-barn-tour/

The image you are looking at is just one of the many beautiful barns there is to see.
