First experience - Canon 100mm F2.8L Macro
To anyone out there who might care - I purchased my first dedicated Macro lens during this summer. It is the Canon's own 100mm F2.8L lens. I bought it second hand from a wedding photographer who said that his customers just don't understand the close-up pictures of the rings, etc. This capture is one of the first images I made with this lens - and it is just astonishing! The colors are so vivid and amazing. It has been a major investment for me, but I can see that the result is as major. I would suggest this lens to everyone looking for a true macro lens and even for portraits.
PS. I had to do minor edits in Lightroom as when I tried uploading straight to Flickr - the colors were showing much more plain than they were on the original. This is as close as I could see/get - but the red looks much more brown....which is sad for Flickr.
