Cleaning Up Junior: White-Tailed Deer

I don't know if this is a newborn and the mother is cleaning off the birth sack or if the fawn fell into the mud. I was walking on a trail, and the deer were just 8 feet away, and the mother didn't seem to be bothered by me. The fawn was wide-eyed after seeing her first human.
