Clockworks
As an engineer I've always had a fascination with mechanical watches. Yes they cost more then a Timex, yes they have many moving parts to potentially break, and yes they require maintenance every few years. These types of time pieces are not for everyone, but for those that can appreciate them they are works of art in themselves.
