Harvest mouse ISO 20,000

OK, so you realise that weird mouse picture the other day was the same mouse as this… A tiny harvest mouse, 7g, 2.5 cm. A grape weighs 5g, I weighed one to compare.

Photographs can deceive… cameras are clever… although it looks like there is light shining on this mouse, I daren't use flash because I think it might harm their eyes (they look so big, so I guess very sensitive), so it wasn't really a very bright light and I wanted to use f/8 because wider apertures were giving too small a dof. So that pushed the ISO up to 20,000 for this picture. Amazing isn't it!? I applied noise reduction to the background in LR 4, but none to the mouse itself.

I hope you're not going to get tired of mouse pictures, there may be more to follow, I now have 3 harvest mice and I'm hoping they will breed. Well, they will, the picture below proves it.
