Winter Willow Lane

This morning I woke at 5.30, and checked the weather forecast. A freezing~cold, cloudless morning was predicted. Time to head to the nature reserve I was planning a while now, so I took the train to Boortmeerbeek. Under the church, near the train station, I saw the board with the 6k walk route. I headed to the nature reserve at the blue hour with the first light.

In the city, all snow on the roads was cleared, but in the nature reserve, the snow on the trail was about 30cm (1 foot) deep. I had a blast, once again.

The new outdoor gear (Jack Wolfskin winter trousers and beenie hat, and Lafuma gloves) once passed the test, I was warm and confy.
