Aunque esta decisión de diseño penaliza las performances del avión, se consideró un compromiso necesario para garantizar una liberación segura de las armas.
🔵 The Super Hornet's external stores pylons are angled outward (canted) due to aerodynamic considerations, specifically to address issues with stores separation (how weapons and fuel tanks release from the aircraft). This design choice was made to prevent certain weapons and fuel tanks from colliding with the aircraft during release. While this angling introduces some drag, it was deemed a necessary compromise to ensure safe weapons release.
