Balneario, Playa de la Caleta - Cádiz/Spain

After lunch Celia and I went to the "Castillo de Santa Catalina". They have a regular expo there and one of the buildings is dedicated to workshops. Artists from all over the world can apply to use the instalations for free. For 3 months they can work and exhibit their art there. Part of the bargain is to open the workshop for visitors during the opening hours of the Castillo.

We soon gave up this idea ´cause while we where looking for a good spot (the Castillo has a thick, high wall surrounding it and only a few windows) a man came near and started to talk about Cádiz, his poetry, his lost loves, the important people he knew and with whom he shared his lunch at the retirement home etc. etc. He followed Celia wherever she went and told us later that he came here every day to see what the artists did. Surprisingly the workshops were all closed.

By the way, this cardboard was recommended to me by a local art supply and I laughed when I first applied watercolour and this seemed to elicit a type of allergy in the paper for it began to show blisters, changed colour ... still now, many days later you can feel them when you touch the paper.
