As the Second Era progressed, and humanity once more began to dominate under the banners of the White Guard Battalions, there rose a union of alien species that were determined to withstand the might of the Battalions.
They had tasted strength and dominance after the fall, and had no desire to see the world return to what it was in the First Era.
They expected to see the Red Battalion Soldiers come in mass, aided by Blue Battalion Paladins and Green Battalion Commandos.
They even expected to see some Gold Battalion Knights arrive to crush them.
What did they get?
The Viator of Incendia,
The Messenger of Fire.
Picking up on schematics for an unmade generation of rifles that were to be made before the fall prevented such action. It was taken and added with Second Era technologies and improved upon until the resulting rifle was the peak of both First and Second Era technologies.
A few Blue Battalion Specialist Assassin's armed with this rifle began what was referred to as "Project: War of Heroes"
Bringing together their most skilled warriors of every battalion to aid each of these Blue Battalion Assassins.
The Viator of Incendia served as the ultimate weapon of destruction, a scope designed for handling both close range, and extreme long.
The Operators of the Viator of Incendia wore special power armor designed to allow them to wield it quite easily, despite its massive size and weight (even for a power armor weapon)
They could heft it with ease, and aim it and fire from the hip with relative accuracy, thanks to their improved and far stronger suits of power armor.
They were trained to use it not as just a sniper rifle, but also to use it effectively as a battle rifle at close ranges.
Its high power energy projectile could eliminate most if not anything that the Alliance threw at them, and in the hands of the assassins it became a feared weapon.
