Mhaulkore Kinslayer pistols
Mhaulkore: Kinslayer pistols
It was said the greatest adventurers to roam the stars were the Mhaul Brothers.
Khorre and Lukthor left the safety of the skies at a point in time when space was ruled by pirates and dreadful alien horrors that the human alliance feared to defy. A decade of run-ins with the pirates found themselves somewhere between respect and fear. Then they surprised all when they made peace and joined with one of the larger Pirate fleets, promising to push their raids to regions unheard of. Before long piracy dropped as the raiders raced one another to the depths of space seeking adventure and wealth in unknown planets and astroid feilds. Mining leaped forward feeding off new discoveries and the human alliance found themselves with more than enough resources to finally craft themselves a space empire worthy of standing toe-to-toe with alien foes. At this time there was a surge of technology like none had know before. Using the most precious of materials the Mhual Brothers crafted two pistols, one for each of them, that rivalled all other weapons. Even large assault rifles created for the finest of the alliance paled to these two pistols in battle, although many said it was simply the great skill of the weilders themselves that made the pistols so fearful.
War with a F'tual species however dealt a hard blow. The Mhaul Brothers gathered the shattered armies of the alliance beneath them and led them to victory over the F'tual, driving the race of pale technologically advanced humanoids out of existence, the first and so far only occurance of such mass genocide. Humanity prevailed although it cost much of its greatest technology. Never again would such things as were made in that previous age be crafted again. The Mhaul brother's pistols were now a thing of legend.
They continued to push the limits of space, leading crews deep into the unknown, facing and defeating many an alien foe. Humanity knew no fear at that time. But alas those times would change.
Lukthor became corrupt, for reasons unknown, but no longer was the elder brother the kind quiet man of wisdom he once was. His silver hair faded to a white and his skin lost all its color. He became irritable, and it was later learned he had spun a webb of corruption and darkness deep within the Alliance that to this day isn't completely purged. He attempted in one great turn to take complete control of the Human Empire. But even as he strode up the steps to the capital's Grand Senate Tower, he and his followers were stopped by one man, Khorre Mhaul.
Brother drew pistol at brother, and it was said the distruction of their battle was the greater than that of a hundred men fighting. The stairs were left smoldering with craters, Lukthors men long slain just from being so close to the fight. Yet brother could not match brother. Khorre, the youngest, was not as wise or experienced as his brother, but he was stronger and faster. His once long black hair singed to stubs at their fight. But in the end brother stood with pistol pointed at brother.
"On our Father's blood, no such Evil is of our lineage. Lukthor is dead, I only see before me a vile corpse that would mock what was once beautiful life." From that time forwards would Lukthor be renamed to Kragg, meaning "defiled" in old tongue, by the historical archives.
It was then, that the fight began anew, but Khorre was filled with a fire like no other and bested his brother in a superhuman display of speed that found him pointing both guns at Kragg, now disarmed.
It is recorded that he fired without hesitation. The Pistols remained with Khorre Mhaul, who named them Mhaulkore Kinslayers, for they drew the blood of his brother.
It was said that he flew his ship into the void beyond the galactic rim, pushing the last boundry limiting man at the time. The Mhaulkore Legion, those of the Mhaul House that had not followed Lukthor into disgrace, claim that one day they will find him again flying distant worlds in the next galaxy, and ever do they push for technology to do so. It is rumored such technology existed in the old days, before the F'tual War. The rumor states that only one ship was built with this technology, a special craft built to the order of the Mhaul Brothers. But no one knows if this was indeed the craft that Khorre flew away in.
It was found that he left everything he owned behind, except for two pistols and an old star-compass.
