BERy Type5 5570 Loading Lady

Metropolitan Transit Authority Type 5 5570 on Talbot Avenue around 1948. The car is running on route 22 from Ashmont Station to Dudley Station via Talbot Ave, Blue Hill Ave and Warren St. It's only a short way up Talbot from Dorchester Avenue. Dirty snow banks line the street. Note the 40's taxi to the left and that appears to be the nose of a Studebaker Champion on the right. 5570 went into service in 1923 and was scrapped in 1957. It appears that the car is still marked for Boston Elevated Railway. Either it hasn't received the new MTA logo yet or this is earlier than the mid-1947 change. - from a negative in my collection, photographer unknow
