Frieze London, Temporary Entrance Building, 2012

Architects; Carmody Groarke. They seem to be cornering the market for light weight/temporary structures, and what a great job they are doing. On a sunny autumn day, while the 'art lovers' were seeing art and were being seen by all, I was transfixed by the magic of these temporary structures.

The entrance building proves beyond any doubt that Nash's majestic elevations can easily sit comfortably with a cheap shed made of exposes plywood sheets and plastic. A near perfect lesson in contextual design with change to spare.
