Arganzuela's Bridge is one of the stellar works of the project Madrid Rio. It was designed by the prestigious french architect Dominique Perrault that conceived it as sculpture with form of a gigantic corkscrew and it is composed for of two tubular conical sections of 278 m. length and a width between 4 and 7 m. that are covered with a metallic mesh of silver color, that crosses the whole structure interlacing with her. According to Perrault, this band has as mission create shade during the day and to turn into a luminescent object in the night, as if it was an enormous lantern. The set is illuminated by 32 lampposts and 66 lights installed in the interior. It was inaugurated in 2011.
El Puente de Arganzuela es una de las obras estelares del proyecto Madrid Río. Fue diseñado por el prestigioso arquitecto francés Dominique Perrault que lo concibió como escultura con forma de un gigantesco tirabuzón y está compuesto por de dos tramos tubulares cónicos de 278 m. de longitud y anchura entre 4 y 7 m. que se encuentran cubiertos con una malla metálica de color plateado que recorre toda la estructura entrelazándose con ella. Según Perrault, esta banda tiene como misión crear sombra durante el día y convertirse en un objeto luminiscente por la noche, como si fuera una enorme linterna. El conjunto se ilumina con 32 farolas y 66 luminarias instaladas en el interior. Se inauguró en 2011.
