Erin Davies and Fagbug

On Tuesday, Oct. 26, IPFW hosted fagbug, an effort created by Erin Davies after she was victimized by a hate crime on the 11th Annual National Day of Silence (April 18, 2007). Her Volkswagen Beetle was vandalized because she placed a rainbow sticker on the car.
Davies showed a documentary she made during a 58-day cross country tour in the “fagbug” to raise awareness about hate crimes and homophobia, and to give a voice to those who are silent. Her goal is to inspire others to take a stand against bullies and to be an example of how to overcome obstacles.
