Technical Site - Guardroom

RAF Chedworth is a WW2 satellite airfield outside the village of Chedworth in Gloucestershire. It was built between 1941 and 1942 and used for flight training through most of its operational life. For less than a month in June / July 1944 the airfield was home to the 9th Air Force of the USAAF.

A relatively small airfield, in a safe middle England location, it lacks the defences many in the South East have. What remains today are almost both runways, the battle HQ, as well as the operations building, armoury, and remnants of the dispersed living sites.

Public footpaths run throughout so access is straightforward, but many of the buildings are still on private farmland.
