Why was this utility tunnel NOT secured??
Toronto, Canada. **A no-brainer, you'd think. After watching a concert, we walked home on Queen St. W. We came across this lit up manhole cover beneath our feet. I had to take a shot of it. I thought that it was a little odd that especially during G20, this manhole cover was left unsecured for easy access. In fact, there's a light that trails all the way down it's tunnel. Everyone walking on the street marveled at this fact. Two guys attempted to enter last Sunday night, but were caught. It begs the question... hundreds of manhole covers were secured near the Red Zone, but why wasn't *this one, and the others near major hotels, the Eaton Centre and City Hall?
