U-Wing (2)
At one point this was going to be Cassian’s U-wing with far less blue. But around halfway through the build I was beginning to run out of white tiles so instead of just ordering more I decided to base this off the second U-wing from the film, the one present during the battle of Scarif. The colour scheme I used doesn’t quite match up with the film version but I like to think there’s more than just two U-wings in the galaxy ;)
Also, since the U-wings are supposed to be used frequently for various missions, I thought it made sense they’d be pretty weather beaten. So, I decided to make this model look as filthy as possible. I can’t decide if I like the added weathering is or not, sometimes I think it really works while other times I think it’s too much… I’ll be interested to see what everyone else thinks. But as a first attempt of this kind of plate-built weathering I’m reasonably happy with the result :)
