This large cypress trees stands tucked in the back of the cypress grove. I came across and photographed this tree back in 2017 during the ‘ghost tree’ phase when the trees were in its final autumn days. The late photographer, David Chauvin, nicknamed this large cypress the ‘Grandmother’ due to its sheer size and how it stands out from the rest of the grove. However over the years the tree has lost some of its lower branches and moss but nonetheless is still a beautiful tree.
With changing colors the ‘Grandmother’ tree stood out from the rest of the forest and some remaining morning mist completed the scene.
