Ridge Trio
Last year, spring came late but it was better late than never. Early winter storms turned the hills green but an extended dry period through the rest of winter began drying out the hills. Eventually the storms came one after another during early spring and generated the electric greens bathing the hillsides. This is one of the new scenes I found while scouting this spring comprising a combination of overlapping hills with freshly sprouting oaks. These oaks seemed to be almost perfectly positioned lining across while catching late afternoon light to separate them from the shadowed background hills. I enjoy the oaks the most during the few short weeks when their new leaves are an electric green and really sparkle under sunlight.
