A Walk in the Light
One of the lessons David keeps saying he has learned is “take a scene and simplify it”. That may sound easy, but once you walk into a forest, that concept becomes one of the toughest tasks. Seeing scenes in crowded forests is something that took me time to develop. Years ago, if you had asked me to simplify a forest scene, I would have thought you were joking. However, with experience and multiple forest shoots I have slowly learned to see these forest scenes by positioning trees to show depth and balance.
This one was taken over a year ago in a redwoods trip with >, Aaron and David. Despite the constant battle with mosquitos we had a great time exploring various redwood groves away from the crowds. The light was excellent our last morning with light beams abound.
