MOORISH WALL IN ALTO ALBAICìN

Antonio Jimenez Torrecillas is the author of this sensitive project.
The reconstruction work took place due to an earthquake that destroyed a portion of this 14th century wall, known as the Nazarì Wall.
The new construction fits next to the original structure, it doesn' it, but rather it wants to be different in order to avoid a false in history, and the evidence is the type of construction, the pose of the bricks, the light and shadows game on the inside.
The result is a public space, a place where people can restore, meditate, encounter each other, a soft path between past and present.
It doesn't tear apart.
It connects.
