Vienna Calling

We were supposed to arrive in Tel Aviv early afternoon. But then came the Lufthansa strike and mixed up our flight schedule. Our new arrival time was past midnight, An unexpected und very welcome side-effect was that we got to spend the day in Vienna. Having never been there before, I wasn't complaining at all.
We took the train into the city. Walked around the Stephansdom and the Pestsäule towards the Hofburg. There we visited the Papyrusmuseum with a part of our group (a nice appetizer to the rest of the trip) and the Prunksaal of the National Library. When I grow up, I want to have a library like that! We concluded the day with a piece of the famous Sachertorte before heading back to the airport.
