Day 252: Finding Beauty
Whenever somebody said to me "you are beautiful" I didn't believe it. I thought that he or she wasn't serious. That they were just being nice.
I could always see the beauty of other people but not my own.
In the movie "Frida" Lupe Marín says about Diego Rivera: "He finds beauty in all your imperfections." I slowly adapted this attitude for myself. Among other things photography, taking selfportraits, has helped me to see my own beauty.
And to find beauty in the imperfections of life itself.
