Fluffy
The beautiful and rather friendly Fluffy. She's the smallest but she's also top of the order. She is one of our neighbours chooks, who I am fortunate enough to look after on occasion. I feel like the pied piper with her and her 3 companions following me to go to bed at night. They really are delightful to be around and make the sweetest little noises.
Chickens have at least 24 distinct vocalisations that humans can interpret too so no doubt there are many more. They have complex interactions and are a lot more interactive than we are taught to believe. They each have their own personality that is for sure ... and why wouldn’t they?
Carnism teaches us that they are just a number/product not an individual who would like to live their life. They are like us in more than a few ways!!
