River Blaze

Sunrise over the confluence of Swiftcurrent and Boulder creeks, northwest Montana.

While I was in Glacier there were a few mornings with some really nice stratus clouds formed by chinook winds whipping over the Rockies. Unfortunately these clouds form over the eastern plains, not the mountains, so the typical comps weren't working. But high altitude clouds plus clear skies to the east equals stunning sunrises!

What drew me to this comp was the way that the foreground lines mirrored the shape of the clouds.

Comments and suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks!
