UNITED C38 CWT

Julie Aylward’s former United Automobile Services Limited 1331 C38 CWT, a Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/2RH built 1986 with a Plaxton Paramount II 3200 Express C53F body on Huddersfield Road in Ravensthorpe with a Ravensthorpe Retail Park, Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe Retail Park heritage service during the Dewsbury Bus Museum’s open day. Sunday 15th May 2022

 

Note, C38 CWT was originally operated by West Riding Automobile Company Limited as number 38 and was transferred to United Automobile Services Limited as number 1331 in 1992. The seating was altered from C49F at some time before being acquired by E.E. Whitehead & Sons (Coaches) Limited (a Conisbrough based operator) in the early 2000s. E.E. Whitehead & Sons (Coaches) Limited ceased operating in summer 2015, C38 CWT being acquired David Elliott & Paul Richman (a Rode Heath based operator operating as Stanways Coaches). C38 CWT was acquired for preservation by Julie Aylward in 2019

 

C38 CWT was possibly working a relief service to the 12:10 departure from Ravensthorpe Retail Park
