HNLMS De Ruyter (Dutch Zr. Ms. De Ruyter) is the third De Zeven Provinciën-class frigate of the Royal Netherlands Navy. She was laid down in 2000, launched in 2002, and commissioned in 2004. The frigate is named after the famous Dutch admiral Michiel de Ruyter (1607–1676).

 

Since December 2012, Commander Harold Liebregs is HNLMS De Ruyter's commanding officer. Previously it was commanded by Commander Jeanette Morang. She was the first woman to command a Netherlands Navy frigate.
