Chair

My friend Matt and I stumbled upon this abandoned house in the Greenfield section of Pittsburgh. Inside it was clear that it had obviously suffered some sort of flood or torrential downpour, as the ceiling was cracked and there was lots of debris all over the place.

It looked like it was an old farm house from the 1800’s built into the side of a very steep hill, since it still had all of its original Victorian doors and windows, but the water had washed away all of the layers of wallpaper and paint that had just been crammed on top of one another. . . this house was the victim of every decorating fad from its inception to about the late seventies, which is how it was left. . . . not a nice way to go out I suppose.

Inside of the house there was this somewhat frightening room with just two chairs like these in it arranged as if two people were having a conversation and then just left. I never knew there could be so many shades of brown.
