Heimann und Schwantes is a Berlin based design studio, founded in 2007 by Michael Heimann and Hendrik Schwantes. They mostly work in collaborative projects with clients
in the fields of art and architecture.
Michael Heimann, born in Munich in 1970, studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Trier and the Basel School of Design.
He worked at Interbrand Zintzmeyer & Lux, Zurich, and kognito Gestaltung Berlin. He ran his own practice
groenland.berlin from 2002–2007.
Hendrik Schwantes born in Stuttgart in 1974, studied photography and communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg. He worked at Lars Müller Publishers, Baden/Switzerland, started his own practice in Berlin in 2004 and was lecturer at Berlin University of the Arts.
