The Human Spirit..
A picture says a thousand words.. i took this picture way back in 2003-4 i think (its one of the good scans i have from my film SLR days)... im not really sure when...its been a long time... Ever since 911, the WTC site has been a tourist attraction..the last time i went there was a few months ago.. it seemed like a construction site...i dont remember the date or the year i took this.. but i clearly remember that it made me cry.....i remember squeezing my old SLR thru the fence of the WTC site to get this shot..the caption and the cross.. i remember the emotion of every message left by a loved one or a passerby.. the passion.. the cries..the hatred..the anger..every call against violence..or every call for violence..the passions that it invoked ..peace related or otherwise..
I abhor violence..and to me this picture means so many things...i wish we could all live in peace..love each other and build on each others strengths...we can always find faults in whatever we want or whoever we want ..if we choose..we can find fault in every person we know.. the true test lies in finding the good in the bad..the positive in the negative..finding the peace when we are driven to violence...i think the greatest gift that we have is the gift to give..giving unselfishly is probably the most selfish thing we could do to better ourselves.
so anyways.. been a long hard day...no more blabber!
