The Homefront__6

Kelly noticed one of her fellow peace officers patrolling along the stairway at the far side of the platform.

“Hey, Brax!” She called.

He perked his head up and meandered over to her.

“I’ve kind of got my hands full right now. I know you’re on shift, but would you be a doll and drop my girl off at the shop for me?”

He paused for a moment and put on a scheming look.

“Depends...”

“Pay for your next drink at Rosalia’s?”

“Dinner, and you’ve got a deal.”

“Fine.” She begrudge.

“I have been wanting to try their new sweet pepper lamb steak. A little pricy, though…”

“Don’t persuade me otherwise.” She squinted.

He snickered to himself. The usual workplace banter.

“Door’s unlocked, right?”

“Should be. Paul and Bradford were there when I left. They might have to buzz you in. Just leave her parked wherever.”

“Right-o.”

“Thank you.” She said in a cutesy voice.

He waved her away as he wheeled her proxy off, back the way she had originally came.

She straightened her baggage over her shoulder and looked around.

One task out of the way at least, she thought to herself. Now to suffer through postal services…

And the second part. A little better imo. I kind of cheated a little, and used that computer screen background effect I've been playing with for the past year. It made building the set a heck of a lot easier.

Also, really just slapping those holographic ads right in your face. Hey, I spent I-don't-even-know-how-long working on just them. You're damn right I'm going to make the most out of them (even if they are edited to be partly out of focus). Plus it makes for good organic in-universe worldbuilding.

Now. How the hell am I going to tackle the next scene I'm envisioning? ._.
