Bit of the back story: One of her daughters kept saying she didn’t like her Afro hair and wanted it to be more like mum’s, which was chemically relaxed at the time. So mum decided to start her natural hair journey by shaving off her hair to show her children that natural Afro hair is indeed beautiful. Loved capturing this portrait to celebrate her!
