Hong Sung-dae, a performer for the organization Yae-Mun Gwan, dances to the beat of traditional Korean percussion instruments. The particular technique is called “Yul Dobal” - a performance in sync with music while wearing the sangmo hat. These demonstrations are part of a traditional performance called “Fire Ceremony” where a fighting style originating in the 18th century is used. The ceremony is performed daily in Seoul at the top of Namsan trail. Photo by Russell Wicke
